About Us

Our Mission

To lessen the emotional trauma experienced by victims by providing immediate practical and emotional support in the event of crime or tragic circumstances.

Victim Services of Nipissing District is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides short-term crisis support to victims of crime and tragic circumstances.

Our service delivery model is client-centred. It is based on empowerment through information, choice and self determination so that individuals can make well informed choices to assist them in their own healing journeys.

Operations

Victim Services of Nipissing District operates under the Ministry of the Attorney General, Ontario Victim Services Secretariat and has been serving the Nipissing District since 1997. The area of service for this district covers 17000 square kilometers:

  • South –Trout Creek
  • North – Temagami
  • East – Deux Rivieres
  • West – Warren

Victim Services of Nipissing District is a member of the Ontario Network of Victim Service Providers.
